a soiree haiku

so last night was the coop's 3rd annual soiree, complete with delicious food, exciting auction items, and fun people. other exciting events included getting to hang out with chris & fenner; bidding on - and winning - a basket full of games (although, apparently, that's a lame thing to bid on); having the awesome ladies from school meet michael & empress upon him the wonderfulness of me; drinking really delicious wine; & going to uptown billiards afterward to ensure that i would feel like a turd in the morning. in tribute to last night, below are several haikus to express my feelings:

a friend haiku:
fenner, is so cool
furry beard and striped sweater
hangs with my boyfriend

an auction haiku:
sixty-two dollars
gets me many rockin' games
game night anyone?

a meet & greet haiku:
eager to meet him
"michael, have you set a date?"
then he rolls his eyes

an uptown haiku:
super white russians
chris is a bad influence
not enough water

a morning after haiku:
no to getting up
all know i am hungover
thank god for green tea

i can't wait to do this again next year!!

p.s. i had forgotten how great haikus are! you all should definitely make one up right now - you'll feel super
