the universe is a pushover

for as long as i can remember, i have been prone to "over-reacting". it is not my best quality. however, every time i throw an adult temper tantrum about things that are outside of human control, the universe rewards my bad behavior by giving me exactly what i want.

for example. last night, i freaked the frack out about michael not being sent home yet. i whined to him, used my pissy voice, shouted at the dog, and even cried a bit. luh-ame. and this morning, i get a text saying "change of plans. coming home today. love you."

now, you may think this is awesome! huzzah - things always go her way! that might be what you think. but the side-effect of being spoiled by the universe is feeling like this:

so i'm glad i made that stupid cake as it will act as some relief for my guilt of being a spoiled brat. now i'm off to do a load of michael's laundry, clean the kitchen, vacuum, lint-brush the dog hair off cooley's bed, and make sure there's fresh towels in the bathroom. and go to the pool with flora, because i can't punish myself too much. the universe decides after all, not me!

p.s. seriously, i don't care what your prejudices are about LOLCats. i don't care that the way things are spelled makes me have to read it two or three times. that is a hysterical website and i'm pretty sure the cure for all bad feelings.

this is bullshit.

Disclaimer: i am about to complain (ALOT) and use the word "shit" many times. you have been disclaimed.

michael has been gone for 16 days and will not be home until Saturday or, more likely, later. he will not see his father who is visiting this week. we will not get to eat delicious german food with his dad & show him our town. this is bullshit.

i have spent more than 300 hours alone with our shitty dog. he barks, pulls, jumps, grabs, pushes, licks, and runs around like a psychotic toddler 3/4ths of that time. if you do the math that is 225 hours of him being a shit-head. this is bullshit. (p.s. thank you mom, dad, john, & christa for giving me refuge from the little shit over the weekends)

i'm 90% sure i have a cavity in my tooth & i am going to the dentist. its been hurting like the dickens for quite some time, when i push it with my tongue i want to shout a curse word and all michael keeps saying is, "you know you should floss". this is bullshit.

i spent 9 hours making michael the most complicated damn cake in the universe in anticipation that he would be home tomorrow or friday. if you don't see the problem, please refer to my first point. this is bullshit.

it is summertime, which means that N.O.T.H.I.N.G worthwhile is on tv. this is bullshit.

i have reached the end of the internet. literally, i've visited all the websites and read everything all the way back to the beginning of time. i do not have the energy to comment. this is bullshit.

cooking for one person is a pretty moot point, so i have been living off the following things: pizza, cookies, hamburgers, pizza, cookies, mac & cheese, popsicles. for 16 days. i feel shitty. this is bullshit.

we do not have air conditioning. our house gets up to around 80 degrees everyday. i can barely stand to wear underpants. this is bullshit.

when michael calls at night, i am so frustrated with all this bullshit that, when "i'm coming home tomorrow" is not the first thing he says, i bitch and whine our whole conversation. i know he has to wait to come home and my shitty attitude makes him feel shitty, too. but i do it anyway. because i have been alone for over a week and can't stop myself. this is bullshit.

i feel like this:

(although, looking at lolcats made me feel a little better)

f-o-o-d food food

the other night, michael made these ah-MAH-zing fish tacos. the man is a culinary genius. thankfully, i had the presence of mind to take photos before i gobbled them up like a cartoon character.

also, there is this really nice pre-developed open space by our house. cooley runs around like a wild animal and seriously looks like he's the happiest he's ever been. and the view is beautiful. it makes me feel like we're still in flagstaff when we go walk there.

lastly, michael's mother is coming to visit this weekend, which means we get to see our nephew! he is seriously the cutest. i'd show a picture, but my facebook account is not "available" (aaack!) right now. maybe later?

tra-la-la

do you ever over-think things? like things you have minimal control over and so you think up endless scenarios. and then, if you're like me, you realize that is a sick waste of time. so you start actively trying to be breezy (hmmm, does trying to be breezy negate the breeziness?) and make a breezy choice (even though it's about a not-breezy subject). but there's still a part of your brain that is tormenting you by second-guessing your breeziness.

does that ever happen to you?

and, since no one comes here for thoughts like that, let me send you to this website, because it never gets old: www.damnyouautocorrect.com
