Happy Christmas!!!

Woot! I'm coming at you from sunny Claremont. I hope everyone's had a nice Christmas morning. It was different here with Michael's family, with little to none of the traditions we have with my parents, but it's not bad. I got some amazingly thoughtful gifts and I hope everyone got & gave things they can be pleased with. One of the traditions I wholely approve of was last night's Poker Game with Michael's friends. We had a blast, I learned to play Hearts, and got to hang out with Michael's friends, who are really great. I also enjoyed a very pleasent phone call with the fam this morning (shout out to dad!).

Sorry this is so short, it's time for me to go shower and get started helping cook a 7 course meal for Christmas dinner. Have a lovely day!!!!!

SNOW

It's days like this I wish I had that cord that would let me upload pictures straight away. Alas, i can't find it, so the pretty snow pictures Michael took today remain hidden from your view. However, it's been snowing for us since Saturday and there're buckets of it all over the place. Not to mention I've had two School Cancellations in a row! I am so happy that this storm blew through. It's just what I needed to feel like it's really winter. Yesterday I stayed cooped up inside, reading and doing homework, but today Michael and I ventured out into downtown for some Christmas shopping. We were pretty successful and the walk was awesome. Tomorrow probably means it's back to the same old, same old, but I'll always have my memories of Two-Snow-Days-In-A-Row. Also - I'm getting a new computer. Yeah!! Finally, what types of drinks to you ladies want for next week? Hot - cider, cocoa? Cold - lemonade, punch, soda? Tell me, Tell me, I'm very interested in your thoughts.

And I leave you with a video by my wonderful cousins (the their cousins), celebrating.....SNOW!

Japanese people really know how to entertain

So a few nights ago, Michael and I stumble across some crazy japanese show. At first glance, it seems like that one we all used to watch in high school - the most extreme something or other? Well, this is MUCH better. Better commentary, wilder wipe-outs, and crazy - CRAZY! - stunts. I've taken the liberty of posting some video; The first has the best commentary & the second has some of the insane things they do. It's called "Ninja Warrior". Enjoy:

The thing about December

Hot dang! It's only been one day, but December has been AWESOME. Michael and I drove out to some guy's property and cut down our own Christmas tree. Hopefully, I'll figure out a way to put up a picture. We bought some lights and scrounged around the house, finding 4 ornaments, but we didn't find a good topper. Holiday craft week is fast approaching at school, so I'm sure that I'll have some good stuff for it soon.

Also, for probably the first time in my life, I've got a good handle on my christmas shopping. I have completed 4 1/2 gifts, though I haven't wrapped anything yet because of this little gem of a story: Michael & I go to Target to get this brown wrapping paper so I can decorate it and make it my own. As we're leaving, it's raining, so I unload and shove the cart into the holder. Later, we're eating lunch and Michael says "Hey where's the wrapping paper?" Yeah, I'm just that good.

The thing about November

Does anyone else think that the last week of November is the worst week of the year? So far this month has just been kicking my ass. Every time I finish something, I turn around and there is something else waiting for me. Gah! As much as I loved being home this past weekend (more on that later), going back to work after 5 days off is just stinky! The other thing is that, man oh man, are Michael and I in some serious ruts. He hates his job, I hate that he's so unhappy, and neither of us want to move. We spent forever talking about how sucky it is to be a grown-up. I think Michael's going to be a garbage man & I'm going to be his Ms. MoneyPants.

Although, those days off really were wonderful! I got to be home for my mom's birthday (Daddy I'm still sorry about missing yours: so here's your blog shout-out. I'm not the crappies blogger anymore!!) Turkey day was beyond delicious - all my favorite foods were there: Michael's coleslaw, beer bread, chunky mashed potatoes, and Tiramasu!! YUM. Friday, I got to go out and see some Flagstaff friends & Saturday I had the best time just sitting around the fire with the extended fam and talking.

And to end: Welcome to little Brexlin!!!! I'm so excited that Leish finally popped that little one out. And it's not every child that gets to have an 'x' in their name! I hope I can get time to see her over Christmas - I beat she sprouts like a weed between now and then.

for you, natalie

1. I absolutely love... spending time around children - they're so interesting! Also: cuddles. Always cuddles

2. I don't care if... i don't wash my hair for days

3. I like to... use the computer, in any way shape or form.

4. I play... not very much anymore. I need to have more fun!

5. I have a horrible habit of... being too lazy. like, say, blogging instead of working out or going to bed.

6. I love to... window shop. there's something great about trying on a ton of things in a thousand stores and not having to spend any money.

Tag, Jen's It!

PS. How are those Girls Next Door (the playboy girlfriends) so naked all the time?!

06 November 2007

A breif moment of sanity

This week has really started off well. I took the morning off work to do some homework and man! Is it worth it to sleep in an hour, not stuff an Eggo in my mouth while I drive, and learn something without even putting a bra on. I wish my whole life was like this.

Last weekend was so much fun. I have to give a big shout-out to my Nana & Aunt Leanne for the fabulous weekend they gave me. I drove to Show Low on Friday and had the greatest time. I helped them rake & bag all the pine needles at my Nana's house, ate really really well, relaxed and learned how to make the tastiest Italian food. Seriously, people. I made my own pasta. Like with a mound of flour and an egg!! It was the tastiest pasta I've EVER eaten.

One last note: my co-teacher Chris' baby, Gray, is the cutest baby in the world. Michael came with me to watch him and after his nap he was like a little whirlwind. We spent forever in his big brothers room, letting him climb on our faces so he could see out the window. However much I loved hanging out with a baby, upon hearing poor Leish's horror hospital story and spending the morning lounging around, I still don't want one for myself yet.

EDIT: Do kids still get wedgies?! Oh my gosh! "Now...is your underwear around your knees?" (feels around) "Yes"

All is not right in kid-ville

**I figured it'd probably be a better idea to not let just anyone know what up's here, if we want to get up our reputation, so bye-bye first half of post**

On a lighter note, we went trick or treating with all the kids the other day to City Hall and it was really really fun. Their costumes were great: a lot of "rock stars" (code for 'my mom refuses to buy a Hannah Montana costume'), Spidermans, pirates (boy were there a lot of pirates!), and fairies. We had a fair share of skeletons, princesses, and vampires too. Most unexpected: a pig. Most original: this crazy 3-eyed monster. Scariest: a very freaky zombie. Most Realistic: a kid who truly looked like Harry Potter.

Michael says: "good morning and good day are so hot right now."

30 October 2007

Yesterday was Michael & I's 3 1/2 year anniversary. Of course, I'm sure he knows nothing about this, but - mainly to advance my efforts in homework procrastination - I decided to make a post about it. Come on, I've already trolled all the gossip sites and painted my nails (twice). Logically, a video montage & web post was the next step. So, at the end of this post is a picture slide show . It was all for my own amusement, so feel free to completely disregard it. Unless you too need something to do instead of what you should be doing.

In non-Michael related news, I promised to update you all on the fun happenings in my life. Well, there's sadly not too much to report. Last Thursday we went to the Waste Water Treatment Plant. I personally found it fascinating, but not so much with the littles. Friday our friends Ricky & Emy graciously held a Halloween party at their apartment. It was fabulously fun and full of crazy characters: a sexy nurse, John, John's gall bladder, a down-on-his-luck Inspector Gadget, an imaginary friend, a giant banana with maracas, and many many more. We played drinking games like we were all still in college and watched silly videos on YouTube (Charlieeeee!!!).
Saturday was a rousing game of Frisbee golf, which I played admirably although I quit at the 11th hole (frick was my arm sore). Also Saturday included an "adult" party in the non-XXX vain; it was just people at least a decade older than Michael & I. We went with my co-teacher & her husband who are probably two of the most fun people I know AND Redskins Fans!!! It was at one of my classroom parents' house that was freakishly scary with bloody decapitations, manikins in the windows, and a very strong Tequila brew.

Tomorrow the multiage will venture to City Hall for trick or treats, I will make a fool of myself by wearing a tutu to school, and we'll have a special presentation about BATS. Woooooooo, spoooky times lay ahead!!!

Michael is totally wonderful for the following reasons:
1. He likes me, which can really take a lot out of a person
2. He always makes the most delicious food the way I like it - like chopping up the onions small enough for me not to notice they're there.
3. He is always up for cuddles
4. When I want to watch trashy TV, sometimes he lets me
5. He's so Handsome!
6. Every morning he's in Prescott, he sends me a crazy text message.
There's many more, but I've decided to just move on.

21 October 2007

i know, i know, i'm lame

To begin:
Hail to the Redskins, Hail victory, Braves on the warpath, Fight for Old DC!!
YEAH, REDSKINS!!!! WE WON & CARDINALS DID NOT!!!

Anyway, today Michael & I went downtown to the Pay 'N' Take to watch their NFL ticket and have a generally rad time with Ricky with his Little Guy Distributing party. They had a bunch of really cool stuff that they raffled off or otherwise gave to me for free. Michael and I collected: one regular coozie, two slap-bracelet coozies, a Wittekerke hat (which doesn't say the word 'beer' in English, so I can wear it on school field trips), two pint glasses, and a bottle opener for my key chain. I also drank more than is usual for a Sunday mid-morning and ate some really delicious Carne Asada. Speaking of Delicious, if you want to see something really weird and funny, go here: http://www.astateof.com/films/delicious/ The scissors are a part of it.

Moving along, the rest of my weekend was pretty awesome. Michael & I both had Friday off, so we did some errands and had a picnic in the woods and then had fun together downtown. Saturday, I did not attend a field trip for a class I'm taking and instead tried to find a place called Kelly Canyon, got lost, had a melt-down on Michael, & went to play frisbee golf instead - which was actually quite fun. All in all, I'd say this weekend was just about as much fun as last weekend with the family and see all my best lady friends.

On par for this week: Homework, going to the new Old Navy, finding suspenders, a trip to the waste water treatment plant, two Halloween parties, and bowling for Liz. I will try to update you on the fabulous things accordingly.

PS: Hi Daddy!!!

10 October 2007

i'm still alive

sorry for all the non-posts, but it's midterm time and, with michael out of town virtually all the time i've been spending a lot of time convincing myself that i will not be randomly attacked by a psycho in my sleep. and also wondering what i should cook for dinner. by the way, i made a dinner of steak, gnocchis, and broccoli all by myself! it should be mentioned that i also made a dinner of ... jack in the box :(

on the topic of the 'holidays', starting with halloween, i've got a little question: what will everyone be for halloween this year? do people even do halloween-y things anymore? some parents from school who live & breath for halloween invited michael and I to their halloween party. i'm a little excited, but debating the wiseness of drinking in a room full of people who's children i teach??

anyway, i'll have more fantastical posts soon, so be patient dear friends. This upcoming weekend is full of fun on all sides: pizza, nana, and family; baby talk, friends, and pregnant-ness (not me, thank goodness!) see everyone soon!!

i've moved past the coat...and the ice cream sandwich

Now I want THIS:

Seriously, how amazingly Dr. Suess is this house?!?!?! It's on a 1/2 acre in Kachina Village, which is like the boonies of Flagstaff if you can believe that Flagstaff even HAS boonies.

But I. AM. IN. LOVE. WITH. IT. I'm sure if I ever get to see it in person, it will be vapid and shallow and have nothing interesting to say, but I don't care. Michael loves it, too.
So what I guess I'm trying to say is: Please send a generous donation made out to Molly Wiedel and I will allow you to come visit me in one of the 3 bedrooms. You can pee in one of the 2 bathrooms, or otherwise roam around the 1,663 square feet. Perhaps, if the donation is
generous enough, we can sip hot drinks on any of the many porches and look for deer & bunnies.

(and because I can't resist, here are more inside pictures)

(and here is a 2nd best place home)

Michael says: nothing, he hasn't been home very much and when he is he's tired and kinda grumpy. :( Instead, I leave you with this final thought: Taylor from Gilmore Girls is also a lawyer on Law & Order!

26 September 2007

i want an ice cream sandwich...

...and this really cute coat from rainbow's end. I will show it to you as soon as their website starts showing pictures again. of course, michael's not very happy with the idea of me blowing $50 - $70 bucks (i can't remember how much it is) on a coat that i'll "never wear". psha! his examples were pretty much anything in his line of sight, but mostly they were all from savers, so they don't count. come on, if you buy something for less than $10 you can pretty much wear it, like 5 times and get your monies worth. here's a simple algorithm for figuring out if something is worth what you're paying for (or as I like to always say, 'i like it, but do i _amount of money_ like it?')

x (cost of item) -/- y (number of uses) < $5 = WORTH IT!

i have a patent pending, so don't even try to market that little gem.

a weB LOG...

I get it now! Thank you English major!
This weekend was exceedingly lovely. First & foremost, Krissy & Ashley came up to visit on Friday night. I was giddy with anticipation and we spent the rest of the night ragging on the Survivorman and talking very loudly; surely annoying Michael and his brother, who was also visiting. Saturday was rainy, but waffles for breakfast and a wildly successful trip to the Goodwill made up for it. Anna Mae & Tilly came along, too. Instead of naptime, Michael and I taught Ashley and Sam how to play Jamaican Sweat, which I LOVE. Spread the Jamaican love, Ashley!
Saturday night was Anna Mae & Lisa's joint birthday party. We ate at Cuzco first, which was way delicious and also gave me the insight that Krissy doesn't like rice!? Then we got all super-hero & villian-ed up. It was a nice party, but pretty tame. Yes, I've come to realize that, in the company of my sister & 20 year old cousin, I am a old, lame lady. We went home around midnight after a pretty quiet night of chatting & playing drinking games to Double Dare & Legends of the Hidden Temple. Although, those are two of my favorite things to do.
Sunday morning we ate breakfast before Ashley and Krissy left, Ashley still covered in glitter from her Water Freak-ness. I had a really, really, really great time with you girls and hope you had fun too!
So, future visitors be warned: I do have fun, but I guess I'm just not in college party zone anymore.

A few random facts to leave you with:
- Your gallbladder holds bile. If you loose your gallbladder you cannot eat fatty foods for a long time, or else you'll what's known as "the shits" because there's no where for the bile to go. Also, your liver buddies up to the pancreas.
- I'm not the only one who loves Hannah Montana
- Hotness (Bear Grylls) trumps actual survivor skills (Les what's-his-face)
- Food coloring comes in Neon colors
-
If you make a cake in the shape of a boot for your mentor teacher, you will send her into a mini shame spiral for teasing you about having to do mentor trainings.
- The weekend would've been a whole lot funnier, if we had called Aunt Beth & Uncle Jim at 1:00am asking what Ashely's medical insurance was & if she was allergic to any medications.

Michael says, "Write 'It's a-boot time!' " (for the celebratory boot-cast removal cake)

"Worst teacher ever"

Nice waiting everyone! You're infinitely more patient than my kinders. So, the highlight of today went a little something like this:
Me: "You have a yellow face, so you'll have to go sit on the fence for the rest of recess."
Kid: "Nooo!"
Me: "Yes, go."
Kid: "You're the worst teacher ever!"
Me: "I'm sorry you feel that way, but you still have to go to the fence."
Kid: "It's true!!"
Me: "It could be; go sit down."
Kid, as he walks off: "And you're rude, too!"
Me: *giggles*

A close second was when a little boy from another class came up, pointing and speaking very fast Spanish. So I say, "I don't...speak Spanish." And he ran off, before Steph and I started laughing hysterically. I wasn't very teacher-y today.
Anyway, in news that has nothing to do with people on Earth less than a decade, Michael has been in Prescott all week. So far, I've managed to move/unpack/re-organize our living room, bedroom, and spare room. I'm quite proud of myself. Especially since I spent most of last night babysitting for the most active children ever. We spent 20 minutes playing "Dungeon Bunnies", wherein I chase & chase & chase them until I can't breathe and they all laugh.
Well, I'm off to drink some hot tea with Ziacam (i'm all head-colded out. frick.) and try and fix the frickin leak in the sink that has supposedly been "fixed" twice. Who does the repairs at this place? A doodlebug? (I just like saying doodlebug)

Michael says, "Are those capris? Oh, the shorts that want to be pants."

17 September 2007

I was going to make a new post for tonight, but I'm babysitting. So buck up and just wait for tomorrow!!

13 September 2007

good things

What a wildly better day! We started our multiage-ing today, with both the preschool and kindergarten class together. It went way better than I expected. We did all sorts of wonderful alligator, apple, & letter a activities. I played this game where they had 10 seconds to look at a group of things, then close their eyes, and guess what I took off the table when they open their eyes. Some of them were in LOVE with this game. One kid put it the best, "I don't want to leave [this center], I'm GOOD at this game!" Tehehehe.

Also, thanks to everyone's lovely responses to my survey email. I'm glad I branched out beyond the usual suspects. Even the illustrious Kirk played along. Best answer for the crayon question goes to Emy: "penis pink"

Well, I have a crap-ton of things to do/finish/get ready for tomorrow, when I will once again trek down to phoenix, with the added bonus of stopping to pick up Michael in the Camp Verde Burger King parking lot.

Michael says, "If I get there before you, I'll meet you in the bathrooms - naked." (I say, "What!? Why? Eew.") "Well, don't you want to 'get busy in a burger king bathroom'?" - oh Tone Loc, you inspire beauty.

PS. I DON'T want to get busy at the BK Lounge

11 September 2007

On an upslope

Today was not much greater than yesterday, but I did drink a Hansen's soda and eat some cookies after work, so I feel pretty great now. Michael went to Prescott this morning, so I get the whole (dirty) place to myself until Thursday. I'm going to try and convince Michael we need to take the old couches to GoodWill before we go back to Phx this weekend. I hope I'm successful - our apartment's a hot mess.

In other news, I read a book to the preschooler's today about a family that brings home animal babies from the zoo instead of their actual baby and, oh man!, did it crack them up. They were like little giggle machines and all you need to do to throw the switch is say "Aaahhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaa!" a few times. Giggle sluts.

Michael says....Nothing! He's not here! Disney channel and cookie dinner here I come!

A case of the Mondays

*Warning. Poster has had a seriously sucky day. Read at your own risk*

Arrrrggg, I have to say that this is the worst Monday in recent memory. I mean, right from the start, I wake up too late to wash my hair & look hideous in everything I try on. Finally, after giving in to the fact that, today i will look preggo, i have to eat a cold pop-tart for breakfast to get to work on time. Ah, work! Why do I even bother?
Exhibit A: I am always, always late to pick the kindergartens up from recess. Somehow, (I think it's God, who most certainly hates me) our clock has again changed times, now it is slow & I arrive to an unruly group of children and an angry looking playground aid.
Exhibit B: Could Math Jobs go any worse? The jobs that are supposed to be supervised don't need me. The job that isn't supposed to need me has gone to crap. Counting, guys! All they needed to do was count!
Exhibit C: The 4th kindergarten teacher we hired is not coming, so we still have 29 rapscallions until who knows when, meaning we'll probably have to postpone our field trip.
Exhibit D: My house is a frickin' mess!
The verdict: I find myself, Molly Wiedel, to be guilty on all counts of piss-poor teaching and crappy housekeeping. I sentence myself to 4 hours of homework & a cookie.

--Oh, how pleasant. My little courtroom themed post ends with getting a jury summons in the mail.

I'm sorry it took so long, but all the good pictures were in Emy's camera.
Enjoy!!!

You get the limo out front.....

Oooh-ooh-oooh!

Yes, it's true. I am ...... procrastinating. (In the best possible way, thank you Hannah Montana for having 3 episodes on in a row). Indeed, this is my daily ritual: Work 8-3:30; Homework 3:30-3:45; Disney Channel 3:45-until Michael makes me start homework again. Today, that means around 6:30, when he gets back from hippy golfing.

Unfortunately, I have not many interesting things to say. The long weekend consisted of my brother coming to visit (and, sadly, not having very good manners); going to the County Fair (PIG FIGHT!!!! & funnel cakes!); camping in the woods; taking long naps; having a double feature (Beerfest & Hot Fuzz) with Nachos; trying to fix leaky faucets; and -
shocker! - more homework. Speaking of that, I better get to it if I want to have any fun later this week.

My First Days of School

So I've completed my first real week of teaching Kindergarten and let me just say, It was effing terrible. Probably one of the worst weeks of my life. Well, 1/2 a week, since my mornings in the preschool are infinitely better than my afternoons. Let me break it down for you with a sweet Venn Diagram:

As you can see, not everything is so great. Obviously, there are sides to both, but that stupid thing took me like, 40 minutes to create and I'm not doing it again so soon. Therefore, I will make a simple list:

Kindergarten good:
  1. Chris & Steph as my co-teacher/aide are very much fun.
  2. A rare few of the kids are cute, smart, and listen to me
  3. I do get lots of breaks because of specials.
  4. Planning is pretty easy, since Chris knows lots of stuff
  5. I don't work every other Friday, holidays off, & no school in the summer
  6. I'm getting paid a pretty nice chunk of change
Preschool bad:
  1. I really miss having Liz around
  2. We're still trying to put the classroom together
  3. I'm constantly surrounded by kids
  4. Planning is harder, because Liz & her folders are gone
  5. I'm getting paid, well, it's still pretty good.
Next week, Steph will come in at 1:00 to help me out, and I'm still holding out hope for a new Kindergarten class to open and take away 7 of those little .... angels.

In other news, Michael's mom is in town this weekend. So far, we've had a Strawberry Waffle breakfast, gone to Prescott, ate delicious Thai food, played cards, and watched Beerfest. On tap today is a possible trip to Lockett Meadow, a Barnes & Noble stop, and a date including Peruvian food & a -maybe- movie. Tomorrow, it's back to the trenches with the added bonus of NAU classes starting! Maybe I'll make myself a white russian with breakfast - it's milk right?

Michael says "Das Boot!"

I'm so conflicted

On the one hand, I came home today and wanted to blog. On the other hand, I don't like being demanded to regal you with tales of my life (JEN). And on my third hand, I don't appreciate said order-er around-er spelling my name wrong (WIEdel, not WEIdel, get with it girl). However, I do have much to say, so I will disregard my other hands and give you all this new post, my personal tale of......

!!Blisters & Buffeting in Las Vegas!!

Friday, 4:00 pm: I leave my first full day as a Kindergarten teacher, transfer some moola, & Ricky, Emy, Michael, and I hit the open road to the big city. We stop for some delicious In & Out. I leave my Neapolitan shake half-finished in a high-chair in the corner and leave Tony a mysterious message to look for a present when they arrive in Kingman later.

Friday, 9:00pm: We are in Vegas!!! It's so glittery. The Villa Inn is a graciously air conditioned space. We spruce up, meet Tony & Matt, mix up drinks and hit the streets. With our drinks! Because you can drink on the street in Vegas!! I love that town.

Friday, 9:10pm: I have blisters on my feet. Damn.

Friday, 10:30pm: We meet up outside Treasure Island with Tyler, Anna Mae, Lisa, John, Cody, Robbie, Sean, & Sarah. Over at Harrah's, I learn how to play craps with Michael's money. Our waitress is Very Generous with our free drinks. I loose at craps. I win at the bar slot machine - I'm up $14.15!

Friday, 4:00am: Back at Villa Inn, Michael insists I put my feet in the icey cooler to stem my blisters from swelling. I think this is a great idea, until I do it. It is terrible; check back for pictures. They're sure to amuse.

Saturday, 9:00am: I am awake and feeling fine. I trip around the room to find my book and wake everyone up. We watch Scooby Doo (I'm pretty sure that Snake Bite, the bayoo catfish chaser, was the ghost), but leave at 11:00 am before it's over to eat at the Bellagio buffet.

Saturday, 12:15am: We finally make it to the Bellagio. It's $24, but I ate four plates worth of food, including pesto mashed potatoes, duck leg, ripe strawberries, and little pastries full of chocolate!!

Saturday, 2:00pm: We roll ourselves into a cab and head back to Villa.

Saturday, 2:00 - 5:00pm: Nap Time!!

Saturday, 6:00pm: Michael wraps up my tiny blister (the ice did work) while we watch Beerfest. We wisely take the Monorail to the New York, New York. I win $27.00 at penny slots. Michael wins a hundo at a slot machine.
We blow it on a yummy Irish dinner.

Saturday, 12:00am: The Luxor is sucking up all my money, that bitch. We don't win a Corvette and leave for Karaoke.

Saturday, 1:00am: The Karaoke man makes me a drink of mostly vodka; I ask for an extra cup of Sprite. I end up trashed anyway.

Saturday, 2:15am: Michael's pretending to hump the air. It's time to go home.

Saturday, 3:00am: Oooh! Ethiopian food. The lady seems confused, but we get some good lamb anyway. We gobble it up on the bed and sleep happily.

Sunday, 10:00am: We check out and go to eat at the Ceaser's buffet. Not as glorious, but I eat egg rolls nonetheless. It was a bad idea.

Sunday, 4:00pm: We begin the long car ride home, too full to keep my pants buttoned.

Stay tuned for tales about my first week at school & pictures of the fun.

I took pity...

Awww, Philleppe & I have the same kind of blog: http://philippesblog.blogspot.com/
Too bad he is way better at blogging than I am.

I was planning to agonize you all with one more day of no blogging, but in my gut I knew you were withering away without me. So that was just a tidbit.

My Achy-Breaky Feet

To begin: Thank you for loving me!! Even the prestigious Kirk Wiedel, aka Daddy has left me a comment. Clearly, this tells me that you're wanting more.

So here's a little Monday night quickie. I have finished my first paid day as a Kindergarten teacher at Marshall Elementary. Obviously, I didn't want people looking at my short self and saying, "Yes? Are you lost? Where's your parents?" So I wore heels and looked most professional. Little known fact, when you have pushed your foot into that uncomfortable 3 inch incline position, you can't feel the pain through all the compliments about how cute your shoes are. I think that is a fundamental insight into women's brains. Put it on a card!

Later this week I will regal you with more tales from a Kindergarten teacher's life, but for tonight I must retire. I have not had a shoe complement in over 5 hours and my toes are killing me.

My Inaugural Address

Dear friends, loved ones, and strangers,

After much consideration and reflection upon my life, I realized that I am such an amazing person that I need not another person to complete my blogging life. I do not need to wait until Michael is legally my 'and', I am my own "and"!! And as such, I will start blogging with enthusiasm along with the rest of you.

I know this pleases many of you (actually, two of you) who have requested I start on this new venture. I would like to thank Randee, for her personal email encouraging me to go forth in this realm. Also, I thank Aleisha, who mysteriously disappeared from MySpace, reminding me what a fragile internet world this is and that I need to spread myself to the far corners of the web. Thank you, Jen and Karlee for helping me realize that, with a blog, I can express myself with constantly changing backgrounds and photo shows. Finally, thank you to my father, who made me clean out my room forcing me to look through my old yearbooks and realize how much I miss you guys.

So rejoice, good friends! Revel in the knowledge that soon, you will know all there is to know about Mollsballs and her mousy life!

Cordially,
Molly and Molly
