i seriously love my husband. he says in an email: "i love you so much that it cost me a $1 at kinko's to write this."
hehehe, that's great.
in the meanwhile, i had a really rockin' time with my family this weekend! i slept in, played ddr (my calves started to hurt!), visited with ashley, got so furious with mario bros that i quit, went to both aunts' houses (one to hang out in the amazing night weather and one to celebrate anna mae moving), got yummy easter candy, brought home some delicious food my mom made, AND read a bunch of trashy magazines (one of my favorite parts of visiting home).
PLUS today chris brought her uber-cute, uber-tiny chihuahua puppy to school today. what a nice start to the week :)

T-Minus 4 Days
in an effort to not be such a sad sack about this moving business, i've compiled a list of things that are awesome about moving:
Things That Are Awesome About Moving
- you get rid of crap you don't need
- you find crap you were looking for (hello, comfy sweatshirt!)
- people are willing to throw/come to parties in your honor
- it's a reason to label things/boxes (sadly, this is for real: i'm stoked to use my fresh Sharpies to label some stuff!)
- i can buy those cute postcards that i keep seeing that are for telling people your new address
- i might get a dog
- i can fantasize about making our new house look like Better Homes & Gardens or, alternatively, pictures from Caton's blog
so, are you ready for some pictures?!

first day of house-hunting: mdt setting up the gps, me hoping for the best

i'll spare you the gory (GORY!) details...we rented this house:

the main room

window to the kitchen

the yard is HUGE and has a sweet little pond:

now we're living on the *West Siiide*

then we were off to laurel, maryland. we went to baltimore's inner harbor

michael sat on a historical canon

we went to the aquarium and then ate bitchen fish sandwiches

after that, we went by charm city cakes to get a picture for my mom (mdt was creeped: "quick, we have to get out of here. this is weird!")

i try to snap a picture of the "Catonsville" sign, but it's a fail

we visit with my cousins

my grandpa turns 80 (woot! olive garden!) (also, NOT grandpa's motorcycle)

the next day we eat shrimp....

and have fun with crabs....

i seriously, SERIOUSLY enjoyed visiting my family in maryland. i saw people who i haven't seen in literally over a decade and it was awesome. my uncles and dad were so much fun to listen to; their stories about growing up were hilarious. want a few gems? here you go (out of context and paraphrased of course)
Uncle B "Remember so-and-so, the one with epilepsy? I punched him and he had a seizure"
Uncle G "I punched him too."
Uncle S "Me too!"
Uncle B "Man, he was always asking for it." *chuckles all around*
Uncle J "Molly, you know about the biker gangs? The Pagens would hang out at the end of the street and your dad and I would go up and ask them for rides. They were always like 'Get outta here kids.', but we thought the bikes were so cool!"
Uncle G "Yeah, remember that abandoned car we found in the woods and Uncle S was looking under the hood. I was standing on the roof, when he slammed the hood and there was a bee's nest inside. I musta got stung 16 times."
MDT says later, "What was a 6 year old doing standing on the ROOF of a CAR?"
These are only the tip of the iceberg of great stories. I seriously would have dug being a Wiedel boy growing up. well, except for all the bits about getting beaten up. anyway, this Wiedel-Till is OUT

SPRING BREAK.....in a non-sunny place. poop
last night, i was reunited with my old friend, dance dance revolution. it was pretty much amazing. i'm still good (thanks to all those training sessions with kyle; i was a nerd). but i think my favorite part was the idea that my parents play ddr without anyone there to watch them. it's just two very grown up people throwing down in their living room. i love that.
last night, i got to eat some delicious panko-crusted chicken. it was so good, i'm shouting out to the cook right now: holla, krissy!
last night, i got so sweaty from ddr, that i showered before bed, which i rarely do. and i rarely do it, because when i sleep on wet hair, i wake up looking like this:
it's like i'm stuck on the LOST island, except not as pretty. although i wonder, would i get a sunburn? because their hair always looks good, no one looses weight, no one grows any facial/body hair....could it be that i wouldn't sunburn at all? that pasty claire would be red as a lobster! if i wouldn't burn, i'd seriously consider going to that place. ...if it were real (michael and i are dangerously close to obsessed. we watch 2-3 episodes a day - hello withdrawals over spring break! - and talk about it constantly. michael says things like, "i'd be cussing all the time, like 'let's catch a damn boar motherfucker!' why not?!" and i wonder about sunburns.)
and my final word for today is that we're piecing out to colorado in the hopes of finding some place where michael can move some of our massive pile of crap. i say hope because the outlook is dim. so this week when you're lounging, or shopping, or sunning, or swimming, or being dragged through China Town (or worse, working you poor non-Spring-Break bastards), stop for a second and hope we find something that is not a shit-hole. thanks

the nasty "c" word
yeah, i said it today. the one that rhymes with 'punt'. and i used it in reference to an actually person. you might be thinking, "whoa, mollsballs! watch that potty mouth - but you at least you feel bad about it, right?" and i would answer your thoughts with this thought: "no! i felt completely satisfied when i said it and i'd probably say it again."
it's so wrong. how do i have just an evil place inside me that some people can penetrate with such ease? i'm a feisty girl, but i shouldn't be throwing that word around. but, seriously, i meant it - this grown woman is 11th-grade, gossip-hound, smack-talker, fake-bitch CW-bad-television. and *nobody* sees it!
good thing i'm peacing out to Springerado (yup, i'm trying that one on for size). would it be terrible to oust her before i go?
in other news, i made a dobostorte for michael's birthday (balls! he's 29!). it was square - which translates mostly to weird (it's "shapes" check it out at 55 seconds). also, something funky happened to the frosting, so it's.....squishy? i can't describe it, but i can say i'm disappointed. i think that's the pull of the 'torte: every time you get something wrong, so you Just Keep Making It. On the flip side, it's still frackin' delicious.
in other, other news: we've started LOST season one. what the hell's going on?! it's agonizing, because we have so far to go - at least we get to watch them back to back. seriously, we were flipping channels the other night and filthy-claire was pulling jin out of a bear trap, before sayid & kate faced off to locke who was leading an army of people. wtf, mate?
